We stayed at the campsite for the first time from May 26 to June 2, 2025, with our motorhome and motorcycle trailer. Even the reservation process was very friendly. The site is exceptionally well-maintained, and the sanitary facilities are spotless. Stunning views and complete peace – simply wonderful. There’s so much to do right from the campsite, whether on foot, by bike, or motorcycle. The train station and bus connections are close by, and with the guest card, you can use public transport for free.
And the bread roll delivery service is unbeatable.
We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed at Camping Mals for three weeks in August – and everything was fantastic. The mountain views, the layout of the campsite, the spotless sanitary facilities, and the overall cleanliness of the entire site. The bakery delivery service was simply amazing.
Cycling paths are well signposted in all directions, especially the Etsch Cycle Path, which is worth highlighting. The campsite team was always friendly and very helpful. Even with our 12-meter car/caravan combo, we had no issues.
It was our first time here – and we’ll gladly come again.

This summer marked our sixth time at Camping Mals. In the past, we never returned to the same place twice – every year we’d choose a different campsite. But something strange has happened: we’ve fallen in love. With the campsite, the beautiful spot we had, the atmosphere, the views, the surroundings, and the hiking trails (both long and short), and even the day trip to Merano. Every spring, our thoughts automatically wander back to that beautiful corner of Val Venosta that stole our hearts. This winter, we’ll get back into hiking shape – because in spring 2025, we’ll be ready to return. And thank you, Rupert and Erhard, for your hospitality! It was another wonderful holiday.

Stayed here for 4 days with our caravan. What a beautiful, clean, and well-kept campsite.
The surroundings are stunning – we didn’t even use the car. We enjoyed lovely walks every day with our dog.
The walking routes are well planned and easy to follow, with charming villages along the way where you can grab a bite or a drink.
The price is €50 per night – on the higher side, but all-inclusive: showers, washing machines, dryers, and even free access to the pool.
A very successful and satisfying stay. We’ve already recommended it to friends.

Dear Erhard, dear Rupert, after an eight-year break, we finally made it back to Mals and your beautiful campsite. As always, the sanitary facilities were spotless and extremely well maintained. The site itself has been further improved with a few changes – even though we didn’t think that was possible! The contact with both of you was, as always, wonderfully friendly – it truly is a place to feel at home. We’ve been coming to you for 22 years now and continue to enjoy the stunning Vinschgau Valley in all kinds of weather. We hope to return for many more years to come. Beautifully located campsite on the edge of Mals. The pitches are spacious and separated from the neighbors by hedges – in my case, large enough to fit a car, a trailer, and a tent. Power and water are available directly at the pitch. I especially want to highlight the cleanliness and quality of the toilet, shower, and kitchen facilities – absolutely perfect! Shops are about a 10-minute walk away. I was welcomed very warmly! A clear top recommendation!

Lovely, peaceful campsite. Spacious pitches with stunning views of the Ortler and many other mountains and distant villages. Excellent sanitary facilities and other amenities. Camping Mals is a fantastic starting point for exploring the area – by bike, train, bus, car, or on foot… you can go in any direction. A wonderful place to spend your holiday.

Beautifully located campsite with a peaceful atmosphere, amazing panoramic views, very clean, and incredibly friendly hosts. We enjoyed four wonderful days, walked the Waal paths, and took the Vinschgau train to Merano – we didn’t even need the car once. We will definitely be happy to come back.

Once again, it was wonderful at your campsite this year. Although it was a bit busier than in previous years, this was not noticeable on the campsite, especially in the toilet facilities. As always, the toilets were well maintained and perfectly clean. After so many years at your campsite, now with many friends and acquaintances, we really can’t imagine camping without Camping Mals anymore. Thank you very much for reserving such a great spot for us again this year. So, with full conviction (health permitting), we gladly say: see you next year!

It’s raining, cold, and gray. Since yesterday, we’re back in the Netherlands. Only the laundry drying inside reminds us of three wonderful weeks at Camping Mals. The long hikes above 3,000 meters, the unexpected conversations with fellow hikers along the way, the lost goat that walked three kilometers with us, the swimming pool, and much more. And of course, not to forget the view of King Ortler from our beautiful pitch at the end of the road on the campsite. Thank you, Camping Mals, for these lovely memories. It was a very enjoyable holiday at your beautifully designed, clean campsite with very friendly staff. You can take wonderful bike rides or hiking tours using the Vinschgau train. We will definitely come back and book a spot on the upper terraces.

Warmly welcomed, spacious pitch with water and electricity available. Great communal facilities, all very clean and well maintained. The bread roll delivery service is perfectly organized. The indoor and outdoor pools are nearby and also excellently maintained. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling. We stayed as a family with children aged between 13 and 22. Highly recommended!

Gastvrij ontvangen, ruime plek. Water en elektriciteit bij de plaats.. Geweldige gemeenschappelijke voorzieningen, en netjes. Broodjes service is perfect geregeld. Het Hallenbad en buitenbad zijn dichtbij en ook uitstekend verzorgd. De mogelijkheden van wandelen en fietsen zijn groot. Wij waren met het gezin met kinderen tussen de 13 en 22 jaar. Van harte aanbevolen!

We’re just back from nearly a week’s holiday at Camping Mals. This was our fourth time staying here, and it’s always a wonderful experience. When you stay for a week, you receive a guest card that lets you use all buses and trains for free. This is a perfect way to explore the area. Friendly hosts, clean sanitary facilities, perfect bread delivery service – what more could you want? We will definitely be back next year.

We zijn weer bijna een week terug van onze vakantie op camping Mals. Dit was onze 4e keer dat we op deze camping staan en het is elke keer heerlijk toeven. Als je daar een week blijft, krijg je een Ov-kaart en mag je met alle bussen en de trein mee. Dit is natuurlijk een perfecte manier om de omgeving te leren kennen. Vriendelijke gastheren, schoon sanitair, perfecte broodservice, wat wilt een mens nog meer. Volgend jaar komen we zeker terug.
