Reach new mountain biking heights
The Upper Venosta region is considered an ideal holiday destination by mountain bike enthusiasts. Particularly popular, among other areas, is the ruggedly picturesque Rojantal valley and the wide Schlinigtal valley which is connected to the Swiss valley of Engadine via the Uina gorge. The region boasts hundreds of kilometres of signposted forest trails leading to mountain summits, alpine huts and scenic viewpoints.
For experienced road racing cyclists looking for a challenge, the Stelvio pass is an ideal tour. The pass road, with 48 hairpin bends, serpentines its way up to an altitude of 2,750 metres. One day each summer the road is closed for motorised vehicles and at the full disposal of cyclists only – an absolute must for all road cycling devotees! The pass itself also offers a starting point for tours to Livigno (Lombardy) and into the Val Mora valley, in the Swiss valley of Engadine.
Tip for our guests: Camping Mals enjoys a partnership with the “Südtirolbike” cycling and mountain biking school, which has a “Bikepoint” right beside the campsite.
Whether you’re a leisurely cyclist, a freeride enthusiast or a downhill fan, our campsite is perfect for you!
